Genesis Golf Trips is implementing an innovative golf program for youth and first time golfers in York County’s first indoor/ outdoor golf training facility.
Various programs will be offered for everyone ages eight and over. Offerings will include: weekly half-day camps, 6-week clinics, family putt & play sessions, birthday parties and individual instruction. Options will also be offered to various recreation councils, schools and daycare facilities, in addition to organizations looking for unique fundraising ideas.
This pioneering teaching method utilizes PGA endorsed SNAG® equipment developed specifically for youth which features: larger club faces, fun Velcro targets and (safer) tennis balls in lieu of golf balls. Add in the team’s creativity for fun and games, while still teaching golf basics, and it cultivates a non-intimidating, fun environment. This is perfect for those without experience, no parental involvement is needed and all equipment is provided.
The program will be directed by Assistant GM, Sydney Gasche, formerly of Royal Manchester Golf Links and Kim Carl, the owner of Genesis Golf Trips, in operations since 2004. They have assembled a team that includes a collective 34 years of golf industry experience and 42 years of experience with leading youth and sports. After two years of planning, owner Kim Carl states, “… we want to bring fun and purpose back into the game of golf, a game we are passionate about in addition to the youth of tomorrow.”
It is important to note that this is not a “developmental” program. This is an introductory aspect to the game for youth to learn freely and in an engaging manner. The equipment used is state-of-the-art and allows children to have an unbelievable amount of fun, while learning the game of golf.
